We started living in a rural area

My wife and I live on a small homestead out in the middle of nowhere, we both used to live in the same really stressed urban section and as luck would have it we worked at the same job for a little while.

The more we saw each other at work the more we started to like each other’s company and it wasn’t long until we were fantastic friends, and then it went past that when we started dating.

Two years later we married. When we were still just friends my wife had mentioned that she was sick of it all, she was tired of the stressed lifestyle and the office politics, but she said she knew this wasn’t for her and that she had bigger dreams and goals in mind, and I was the only woman she had told, I know she didn’t know comfortable telling anyone else. I completely agreed with her and told her I felt the same way for a long time. I guess she was relieved to not know alone in her thinking and that only brought us closer together. Fast forward many years and with a lot of strenuous work and saved up money we bought some land out in a rural area. We were ready to get away from it all as we even started our own cute little homestead that we were really proud of. We had some cute chickens and they gave us eggs all the time, although recently they had not been laying too many, which is unusual. I guess the heat is the culprit, however after all, they don’t have air conditioning in their chicken coop like the two of us do, with all of this heated weather it is absolutely too uncomfortable for them to lay any eggs. So our wife had this weird, surprisingly effective idea of putting a fan in the chicken coop. The hens seemed to like the cool air as much as we do! Would you know our egg production picked up again afterwards? Who knew heat as well as a/c even works on chickens!
