Removing the woodstove in my home

When I moved into my home I wasn’t pleased that there was a woodstove in there.

The wood stove took up so much space in the kitchen.

After living in the home of rawhide I realized it was merely a decorative piece. The woodstove wasn’t giant enough to heat the home. Inside it was totally wash too. The previous homeowner spent a ton of cash putting in on a cement pad, venting it through the ceiling and adding a stack to the roof. The furnace was functional but worthless. Why would they do that? Well I had a sizable mess when I had it detached. I wanted to put a TV in the middle of the home, not a woodstove. I also hated that the cement took up space in the home. I first smashed the cement with a sledgehammer and cleaned up the debris. I then patched the hole where it was split in the carpet. I had to get the woodstove patched and the vent detached. Then I called for roofers to unattach the stack and patch the section where it was detached. Finally I then had to sell the woodstove, however my local Heating, Ventilation plus A/C business didn’t even want it because it was so small. I was able to sell it to a woman that wanted it for her hunting cottage, and now my home looks so much greater without the woodstove. I really have a nice, sizable kitchen that I can arrange the way I like. My central furnace works just fantastic by itself too; Getting rid of the furnace wasn’t a problem.
