Friend helps to motivate my workouts

We push each other to achieve bigger and better goals

My friend Susan and I recently moved to the other side of town. We were both driving a long distance to work every day, so she and I decided to move closer to our jobs. Once we had all of the boxes unpacked at our new place, we started looking for a place to workout. We were hoping to find a core progression gym. Core progression classes are targeted at building up core muscle strength. They typically work one-on-one with clients and cater to their goals. I like to concentrate on the muscles in my mid-section. Planking is an exercise that is a favorite of mine. Planking works by resting on your elbows and toes for a period of time. This exercise works to build up muscles in the abdomen and mid section. Susan and I first met at a fitness center. We were both just starting a core progression class. We stood in the back of the class and were slightly intimidated. We got chatting about our workout goals and ended up going out for coffee after class. We became fast friends and enjoy working out together. We are at similar levels and help to challenge one another. When we go for a run, neither one of us wants to be the slow one. When we go for a hike, neither one of us wants to get winded or quit. After our move, we found a gym where we could sign up with a personal trainer. We take the classes together. It’s very motivating and encouraging. We push each other to achieve bigger and better goals. Because of Susan, I am stronger, faster and in the best shape of my life. Plus, we help each other to resist unhealthy snacks and make sure to stick with a good diet plan.
