My sister has been dealing with mental illness for most of her life. Somehow she managed to make it through four years of college. She works as an accountant for a mortgage company in the city. Honestly, she hasn’t been working a lot lately. I’m really starting to worry about my sister. Last week, my nephew called when there was a problem with the furnace. my nephew called me, because I work for a heating company. I usually handle all of the problems in the house when the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. I also handle any problems with the plumbing. When my nephew called, I thought it was strange to hear from him instead of my sister. My nephew didn’t say a lot on the phone. As soon as I was done with my regularly scheduled jobs for the day, I went right to my sister’s place. My nephew said she had not been to work in seven days. My sister was asleep in the bedroom under several blankets. The house was a mess and there were dishes in the sink. I didn’t know where to begin, but I decided to fix the heating problem first. The pilot light on the furnace was out. It was a simple issue to fix if my sister wasn’t depressed. After I fixed the heating problem, I made the kids a healthy and nutritious dinner and I cleaned the house and the catch. It might be time for my mom and dad to talk to my sister about checking into a facility for a couple of weeks.
