My husband Ryan is an HVAC technician and he’s working for one of the local HVAC companies here in town.
He has been working at the same place for the past few years now, and he’s become really popular in our small town because of it.
Around here, everybody knows everybody. You can’t really go out of your house without seeing somebody that you know. Sometimes it’s a little bit annoying, but for the most part I like living in a small town. Ryan says that he likes it here a lot because he thinks that everybody is friendly. Plus, with him being a very popular HVAC technician, everybody just loves him. He is always getting free stuff at restaurants and getting discounts on things whenever he goes to buy stuff. He got an amazing deal on the last truck that he purchased because he had just finished installing and cleaning a brand new high efficiency furnace system for the salesperson at the car dealership. He says that things like that are what make him really like being an HVAC technician. I can’t say that I blame him, although sometimes it gets old when he has people calling him at home at all hours of the day and night to see if they can get him to come and fix their air conditioning or their heating system for them. He always just tells them that he’s not allowed to work off the clock. He tells them that he would get fired if they found out that he was moonlighting to make extra cash.
