I try to get out of the central air conditioning of my home and out to our spot in the woods at least a couple times a month! And since it’s also fairly close, I sometimes just go for day trips. But if somebody will go with me, I am consistently up for making a weekend of it. That’s the whole rub though, and getting my family out of the residential heating and A/C of the apartment is tough. They simply don’t enjoy the system of roughing it a single bit. And that goes double when there is no quality heating and air coming from some heating and A/C equipment; then over the last few years, I could eventually count on a single hand the times that any member of my family wanted to go up to the cabin! It’s simply hard for me to understand given how beautiful it is there. In the summertime, there is another freshwater lake that is just entirely beautiful. And all year long there are miles and miles of trails for hiking and taking in all that vast beauty; however still, I was the only one that was willing to leave the central air conditioning of home to care about it. As the youngsters are getting older, I actually wanted to change how they perceived the cabin. So I had the entire heating and A/C company come out and install 3 ductless heat pumps to supply residential heating and A/C. Then I got about sprucing the place up with fresh paint, new furnishings and comfortable beds. I sort of had an unveiling this past fall and my family just was wild about the substitutes. I also enjoyed having ductless heat pumps for some heating before I got the stove lit when I first arrived at the apartment while my friend and I were in the winter.
