I had heard the roads were quite bad the other morning.
We had a bunch of rain and we got some snow.
Well the rain froze up quickly and then it was snowing on top of it. They did not even pretreat the roads like they should have in preparation. There have been accidents everywhere. I am so glad that I work directly from home. It has made my life less stressful. I do not have to go anywhere. The other thing is that my house usually stays pretty warm too. I never had an issue before. Well, during this rain and snow storm my HVAC unit stopped working. I thought maybe the freezing rain had something to do with this. I wasn’t sure. I called my local HVAC business so they could come look at it. The roads were so bad they were not sending anyone out to prevent any accidents. I thought that was just great. Then, I was going to freeze. I got out a couple of sweaters. I looked at the heater myself. I looked at the HVAC unit myself. I thought maybe it would be something I could fix. It turned out that it was definitely something I could fix. The air filter had been looking very dirty. Luckily, I had one filter left. I changed out the filters and tried to turn the system back on. It came on instantly for me. Always make sure to look at your HVAC system before you call a professional. It could be something as easy as getting a new filter in there.
