I used to think there was nothing better than a day off from school.
Especially because it was snowing.
Oh man I was in love with the snow and the cold temperatures. I really used to love them. My parents felt differently though. They told me I would soon change my mind as I got older for sure. I did not believe them. During my snow days I stayed inside and watched television and drank hot cocoa. I might even go outside to play or something. I just knew that no matter what my house was warm and cozy. We had a fireplace that I would lay by. I would grab my blanket. We had an excellent heating system as well. We even had radiant flooring. I would lay on the floor on a blanket next to the fireplace. You couldn’t possibly go wrong with that. It was wonderfully warm. Now that I am older I really do seem to hate the cold and the snow though. I hate the snow mostly. I knew that I would feel better if my house was like my childhood house. I wanted it to have the same warmth that I remember. Of course I had a fireplace and I had radiant flooring installed. Not only do I like the radiant flooring but my dog likes the flooring just as well. It really helps to keep both of us warm. It adds extra warmth to the air too. So I do not mind the snow as long as I am inside curled up next to the fireplace with that radiant flooring.
