For most of my adult life I believed that everything happened by accident.
It seemed like life was a long series of coincidences and unplanned events that nobody could have ever foreseen. I guess that’s what you start to think when your life is regularly tumultuous and difficult. However, at a certain point I started to warm myself up to the idea of a larger power pulling some of the puppet strings. To this day, I believe in the universe. Especially when things happened to me, such as finding the best heating, cooling, and air quality control technician in town exactly when I need him. You see, I have been living on a very tight budget for the past several years, which means my heating, cooling, and air quality control system has been widely neglected. I have not had the extra money for my forced air furnace or air conditioning unit to be professionally inspected, diagnosed, or repaired. Instead, I have been waiting for some magical day when the universe provided me with extra funds to tackle my air quality issues and reduce my energy bills. Unfortunately, the universe didn’t provide … my air conditioning unit broke down in the middle of the summer last year. I was honestly so stressed out and overheated without any air conditioning in the house that I decided to go out for a drink that night. I sat down at the local bar and ordered a cool brew to chill myself down. Just then, the stranger next to me struck up a conversation. When he asked why I was drinking alone, I told him about my HVAC system. It took about two hours before he revealed that he was a professional heating, cooling, and air quality control specialist. He helped me repair my air conditioning unit for free the very next day.
