Recently the area that I live in has been devastated by forest fires.

It seems like once the fire department gets one fire out then another one pops up.

It’s really sad to see all these people lose everything that they have and all the homes being destroyed by the fires. Thankfully my family has been really lucky at our home and it has been just fine and out of the line of fire. However, that does not mean we have not suffered any consequences of the fires. Since the fire has been going on for months now that means that our house has smelled like smoke for months. I thought that we would be able to change the filter in our HVAC system and not have the house smell like fire anymore but that has not been the case. It seems like the fire rage on the smoke in our house only gets worse and it doesn’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. I really want to call the local HVAC company and have them come out to the house but I know they are dealing with more important things like helping the fire department put out these fires. Hopefully one day the fires will be under control and we don’t have to worry about our HVAC system anymore because there really is more going on and more important things happening in our community right now.

My dad has to travel a lot for work and it’s been really hard on my mom because we have a lot going on in our house.

I am one of seven people in my family and to say that my mom is run ragged is an understatement. I try to do all I can to help my mom around the house but I can’t say the same for my siblings. I think my dad knows that I’m the responsible one so when he goes out of town he always gives me the tasks that he knows the others won’t want to do. This month he told me I was going to need to change the oil filter in the furnace because the winter weather was coming. I told her that I had never changed the oil filter in the furnace before but he told me he had full faith in me that I could do it. I decided to watch a few videos online on changing the oil filter in the furnace and it turns out it’s not as hard as I thought it would be. My dad right now was able to change in the furnace pretty easily and didn’t have any issues at all thankfully. So my mom was happy that I was able to get the furnace working in time for the cold months and now my family will have a warm house all winter long. I’m happy that my dad is able to rely on me to do tasks like this around the house when he is gone.

I am currently in college and have been studying for my exams all month.

I have a really large class load and my schedule is really hectic this month.

So I’ve been trying to get out of my house and study in an environment that works for me since I live in a house with four other people. I’ve been going to the library a lot and it turns out that I have been able to get a lot more done there. However, one thing that really bothers me about studying in the library is how loud the HVAC system is. I can’t believe that I pay for a college that has such an outdated HVAC system. You would think with all the tuition money that the school is getting they would be able to replace the old outdated HVAC system in the library with a brand new one. However, that is not the case and they don’t want to spend the money on a new HVAC system. So I am stuck studying in the library with a loud HVAC system or going back to my house and studying with my loud roommates. It seems like this is a lose lose situation and I wish I could figure out what would be better! So I am just going to keep studying in the library because honestly I think it’s better than going to the house with all the girls being extremely loud and partying all the time.
