Copper is shot in the air compressor

I noticed a few weeks back that our control component rapidly decreasing temperatures would not get higher than 60 degrees.

In order to get enjoyable heating, I had to run emergency heat.

With a bit of googling I deduced that emergency heating is twice as valuable. This is meant for when the heat pump system cannot supply the typical amount of heat. It is adore getting turbo speed for quick, valuable boosts. Since the outdoor rapidly decreasing temperatures were only in the upper forties, lower fifties, I was anxious. I don’t want to spend money extra for heating unless I need to. I called a Heating and Air Conditioning professional immediately to check out our oil furnace. The guy asked me if I noticed the air coming out of the vents being cold, however yeah, I legitimately did notice the air had been a bit cold lately. He told me our issue is a shot wire on our outdoor Heating and Air Conditioning unit, the air compressor. The wire connectes to a valve that runs electric. In the summer time the electric turns on for the AC function. For heating, no electric through the wire needs to happen. The guy thinks the wire had a short in it, and only electric is running through it to the valve. So although I am running the oil furnace, the air compressor thinks I want AC. So in reality, I was running the cooling system until I decided to make the change to emergency heat. The guy then had to run a whole modern wire for the system. I felt awful for the guy. He had to stay outside in the chilly for hours while inside enjoying our modern heat.
