Working out while traveling for work

Due to the type of job I do, I travel a lot. I sleep at hotels more often than I stay at home. Due to this lifestyle, I eat the majority of my meals in restaurants. It can be a challenge to eat healthy and keep in shape. I try to be very careful about the type of restaurants and what I select from the menu. I avoid red meat, stay away from fried foods and minimize my intake of cheese and pasta as much as possible. I end up ordering a lot of salads and fruit plates. I also make an effort to workout every single day, whether I’m at my house or at a hotel. I am delighted when the hotel I’m staying at includes a workout center. Although the selection of equipment is most often quite limited, I’m satisfied with a treadmill and a stationary bike. Space is normally sparse, but I just hope for sufficient square footage to unroll a yoga mat. At least I can manage some pushups, abdominal crunches, squats and lunges. Now and then, I’ll get lucky and stay at a hotel with a totally outfitted and super advanced fitness center. I then enjoy several hours trying everything out. I am always excited to workout with new styles of equipment. I like to lift different sizes of weights and benefit from a productive workout. Since I typically utilize the fitness centers extremely early in the morning, I’m often the only person there. I can play my music loud and have a wonderful time. I also stay at smaller accommodations that don’t include any kind of fitness equipment. I bring a jump rope in my suitcase for those times. If there’s enough space within my hotel room, I unroll out my yoga mat and use my jump rope. If not, I can always head outside to the parking lot or find any available spot.
