When my husband and I started to look at homes, we actually had a list of things that we wanted to find.
The two of us wanted a sizable backyard, outdoor pool, plus most crucially, a fireplace. It’s pretty hard to find homes with a fireplace in this area, because the winter season is short plus mild. This area has never seen snow or temperatures colder than 35 degrees. We literally had to find an outdated home in order to get the fireplace. My husband and I found a locale that needed a lot of updates, however one of the biggest problems to tackle was the updates on the fireplace. There aren’t a lot of companies that specialize in stone fireplace work. In fact, we had to hire a stone company to work on the brick and mortar. My husband and I spent a lot of money to update the fireplace. The chimney needed to be cleaned plus there was a bird’s nest at the top of the stack. When y husband and I were finished, the fireplace looked great. My husband and I made a lot of additional updates to the home before we were finished with the renovation. Everything is finally coming together plus we are almost completed with the last of our projects. The living room plus the dining room are the last locales to see a fresh coat of paint plus up-to-date flooring. If we ever decide to move and sell the house, my husband and I will be able to double our initial investment. The whole locale looks wonderful after a face lift.
