My best friend purchased tickets to see our number one hockey team at the local arena.
They were playing in a championship game so the tickets were genuinely high-priced, however my friend found a great deal on the internet and the tickets were almost 50% off.
I was supposed to get done working at around 3. I needed enough time to go home to take a shower before the game. My best friend was going to pick me up an hour before the game, but around break time, I realized that I was not going to be done with all my work by 3pm. I was busy trying to complete a full HVAC replacement job but my coworker was dragging his feet. I was in the middle of welding, and he was playing a game on his iphone. We still had hours of work remaining by lunch time. I called my friend and explained to him that I wasn’t going to get home on time; He became genuinely cranky plus started yelling. I tried to explain the situation, although he did not want to hear anything about the HVAC upgrade job or the lazy co-worker. I finally completed the upgrade task shortly after 4pm, and on the way home from work, I called my best friend to tell him to pick me up before the game. I did not have much time to spare, however we did not miss a single second of the game. My number one player scored three goals plus I got his autograph after the game. I;m so glad that I did not miss a single moment of that game.
