My best friend bought tickets to see our preferred hockey team at a nearby arena.
They were playing in a championship game and the tickets were particularly pricey.
My friend found a fantastic deal on the internet and the tickets were almost 60% off. I was supposed to get done working by 4.. I needed enough time to go home plus take a shower before the game. My best friend was going to pick me up an hour before the game, and around lunch time, I realized that I was not going to be done with all our work at 4 pm. I was busy trying to complete a full HVAC replacement job and my work partner was dragging his feet. I was in the middle of welding, and he was playing on his cell phone. We still had numerous hours of work remaining at lunch time. I called my friend and explained to him that I wasn’t going to get home on time. He became particularly cranky plus started yelling. I tried to explain the situation, although he did not want to hear anything about the heating and A/C replacement work or the lazy co-worker. I finally completed the replacement work shortly after 4pm. On my way home from work, I called my best friend and asked him to still pick me up before the game. I did not have much time to spare, however we did not miss a moment of the game. My preferred player scored numerous goals plus I got his autograph after the game. I;m so glad that I did not miss a single moment of that game.
