My best friend bought tickets to see our number one hockey team at the arena. They were playing in a championship game as and the tickets were undoubtedly expensive, but my friend found a good deal on the internet and the tickets were almost 45% off! I was supposed to get done working by 3. I needed enough time to go to my house to take a shower before the game. My best friend was going to pick me up 45 minutes before the game. By lunch time, I realized that I was not going to be done with all my work by 3pm. I was trying to complete a full HVAC replacement job, but my work partner was dragging her feet. I was in the middle of welding, and she was just playing a game on her iPhone. We still had hours of work remaining at lunch time. I called my friend and told him that I wasn’t going to get done with work on time, and he became cranky and started yelling. I tried to explain the situation, although he did not want to hear anything about the HVAC replacement task or the lazy co-worker. I finally completed the replacement task shortly after 4pm! On the way home from work, I called my best friend and told him to still pick me up before the game. I did not have much time to spare, but I did not miss a single play of the game. My number one player scored 2 goals and I got his autograph after the game. I;m so cheerful that I did not miss a single moment of that game.
